GIS helps connect patients and families with the providers, health facilities, and other resources located within specified distance or drive time. Users can either provide an address or dynamically locate their present location on a map portal to find providers nearby. The user can also dynamically increase or decrease the buffer distance and get the list of resources within the specified area.
The providers can also be categorized according to the subscribing organization's preferred nomenclature and standards, and displays detailed information about specialty, service area, location etc. to the end-user. The user can use the power of GIS to navigate to a provider via an optimized route immediately.
